Programm
2026 wird das Festival unter dem Motto »poetry on the road... into the future« mögliche nahe und ferne Zukünfte entwerfen. Lyrik, Rap und Spoken Word werden zu Startrampen und Teststationen. Von Science-Fiction- und Weltraumpoesie bis zur anti-dystopischen Kraft gemeinschaftlich gestalteter Denkräume kreist alles um eine zentrale Frage: »Was wäre, wenn es gut wird?«
Program
In 2026, under the motto »poetry on the road... into the future« , the festival will envision and explore possible near and distant futures. Poetry, rap, and spoken word will become launching pads and testing grounds. From science fiction and space poetry to the anti-dystopian power of collaborative thinking spaces, everything revolves around one central question: »What if it all works out?«
Künstler:innen
In diesem Jahr freuen wir uns unter anderem auf die vielfach ausgezeichnete Autorin Martina Hefter, den größten lebenden Dichter aus Norwegen Øyvind Rimbereid, die britische Poetin Sarah Howe, die ghanaische Rap-Ikone Ata Kak, Spoken-Word-Artistin Tanasgol Sabbagh und viele mehr. Lesend, performend und debattierend feiern sie mit uns die Kraft der Sprache.
Artists
This year, we are delighted to welcome, among others, the multi-award-winning author Martina Hefter, Norway's greatest living poet Øyvind Rimbereid, the British poet Sarah Howe, the Ghanaian rap icon Ata Kak, spoken-word artist Tanasgol Sabbagh, and many more. Through readings, performances, and discussions, they will celebrate the power of language with us.

Seit mehr als 25 Jahren bringt das Internationale Literaturfestival »poetry on the road« Lyriker:innen, Spoken Word Artists und Klangpoet:innen aus aller Welt in die UNESCO City of Literature Bremen. Bekannte Namen treffen auf neue Talente, zarte Poesie auf explosive Klangexperimente, Bildsprache auf Musik.
For more than 25 years, the international literature festival »poetry on the road« has brought poets, spoken word artists, and sound poets from all over the world to Bremen, the UNESCO City of Literature. Established names meet new talents, delicate poetry meets explosive sound experiments, and visual language meets music.
